Burnett County Sheriff Alerts Community Of Tyler Miller's Release From Oshkosh Correctional Institute

SIREN, WI — Burnett County Sheriff Tracy Finch has announced the release of Tyler Miller from the custody of the Oshkosh Correctional Institute. Miller, who was convicted in 2018 of Third-Degree Sexual Assault and Child Enticement, has been released under strict supervision and will reside at 24901 Old 35 in Siren, Wisconsin, according to a press release from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Burnett County Sheriff Tracy Finch announces the release of Tyler Miller on August 13, 2024 from the custody of the Oshkosh Correctional Institute. In 2018, Miller was convicted of Third-Degree Sexual Assault and Child Enticement.

A decision to notify the Burnett County Community of Miller’s release has been made by members of a core team that review Special Sex Offender Bulletin Notifications forwarded by the Department of Corrections.

Miller remains under the close supervision of local Probation Agents. Miller is also required to follow specific and detailed rules prescribed by DOC including no unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with victims, cooperate with lifetime GPS Monitoring, and a lifetime registration with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program.

Miller will be residing at 24901 Old 35, Siren WI 54872.

Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it wasn’t until Act 440 in 1997 which enabled law enforcement to share this information with the community. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.
