SPOONER, WI -- Washburn County Tourism Association is pleased to announce another year of collecting warm winter clothing to help families throughout Washburn County – Bundle Up WashCo. Donations will be collected and handed out from now through December 22nd. There are a few drop off locations including the Washburn County Visitor Center, The Dock Coffee, Masterjohn Realty Office, and Spooner Health - Main Entrance.
What can be donated? New or gently used coats, snow pants, boots, hats, gloves, and other miscellaneous warm winter items. What sizes can be donated? Any size! There has been a need for toddlers through adult sizes.
During Washburn County Tourism Association’s “Bundle Up WashCo” warm clothing drive in 2022, there were over 350 items collected and given to Lakeland Family Resource Center, Washburn County Food Pantry in Spooner, Birchwood Food Pantry, and COMFORTS in Minong to distribute to families and community members of all ages.
The goal is to collect just as many items, if not more, to be able to give out to those organizations this year!
