BARRON COUNTY — On Thursday, Duane Hodgson, 53, of Barron, was arrested by the Barron County Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody at the Barron County Jail. This arrest follows a comprehensive investigation into alleged child pornography offenses, according to a press release from the Barron County Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the Barron County Sheriff’s Department arrested Duane Hodgson, 53 of Barron, and transported him to the Barron County Jail.
Hodgson is being held on 10 counts of Child Pornography following a long investigation. Previous search warrants were served at his residence in Chetek and his business in Barron to recover computer and phone storage equipment with the assistance of WI Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI). Barron County Detectives, with the assistance of DCI, analyzed this equipment and recovered thousands of images of suspected child pornography.
Hodgson is being held awaiting formal charges by the Barron County District Attorney’s Office.
