BREAKING NEWS: Abominable Snowman Spotted in Area

***BREAKING NEWS***

SPOONER, WIS-- DrydenWire.com is receiving reports about an Abominable Snowman being spotted in the Washburn County area. Two sources, who have requested anonymity out of fear for their safety from the alleged Abominable Snowman, say they have seen the snowman at Schmitz’s Economart in Spooner. In an unexpected turn of events, sources state the snowman has reportedly brought with him large amounts of ice cream, although DrydenWire.com cannot confirm those claims at this time.

***UPDATE***

Ted Schmitz, of Schmitz’s Economart, has now gone on the record and confirmed DrydenWire.com’s breaking news report that the Abominable Snowman is, in fact, in Spooner at this time and has no intention of leaving anytime soon.

“The Abominable Snowman brought great frozen deals to Economart,” Schmitz said. “Cedar Crest Ice Cream is available for just $2.99 [in 48 oz. assorted varieties].” When questioned, the Abominable Snowman stated that he feels misunderstood. “I come in peace and bearing the gift of great deals on delicious ice cream,” he said. He also hopes to improve his public image by making an appearance at a local winter festival in Spooner.

Spooner Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Aaron Arf also confirmed these reports saying that, since the Abominable Snowman is not a threat to public safety, Schmitz’s Economart will now host the Abominable Snowman to help promote the 16th annual Jack Frost Fest coming up on Saturday, Jan. 14, and to further the snowman’s plan to reinvent his “infamous reputation” by encouraging local residents and area visitors to “get outside and enjoy the beautiful Northwest Wisconsin winter wonderland during the many family-friendly events planned for Jack Frost Fest,” he said.

“He’s perched high above the freezer section [at Economart], which we thought was fitting,” Arf said.

Arf also provided DrydenWire.com with the following information:
